Roughly a couple of years ago, Call of Duty wowed critics and gamers alike by bringing a breath of fresh air to the hackneyed WWII-inspired war action genre. Its gameplay, the campaigns, the excellent graphic setting, its sound effects and the wonderful simulation of what war is like seen from the point of view of an average soldier in battle, left no one indifferent and made him the winner of the award “Best game of 2003”.
After a long development, Infinity Ward now delights us with a long-awaited sequel that, broadly speaking, reuses exactly the same formula as in the original, but purging some past mistakes and extolling those virtues that made it unique, offering us again a unique and very impressive gaming experience.
